ICARVS

According to the myth, Icarus flew away from the Cretan labyrinth on the wings that his father Daedalus had made for him. But, having come too close to the Sun, the wax melted and Icarus fell to his death in the sea. Icarus' flight symbolizes the desire to free oneself from mortal bonds, and is a powerful allegory that reminds us of human finitude and how our excessive hubris can drag us into chaos. In our vision, Icarus is depicted falling towards his fate, after having tried in vain to subvert the laws that govern nature and the world.
